This is a wonderful book, just wonderful, and written by the world authorities on Montana Moss agate, Tom Harmon and his son Jim. Any lapidary artist will have to have this book in their library. The photographs are unbelievable, the quality of the specimens are amazing. Chapters are as follows: 1) Reading the Rough, 2) Dimensional Cutting, 3) Dimensional Slabs. Under Chaper one are the following headings: Nodules and limb-casts, Ribbon banded agate nodules, layered dendrite agate nodules, thin-line dendrite lim-casts and nodules, thin-line floating dendrites, fracture line dendrites and more! Under Chapter two you have instructions on standard slabbing, specialty cutting, cutting layered dendrite agate and more! Under Chapter three is cutting cabochons, building cabochons, freeform agate carving and even more. This book is finely detailed, and will teach even the most accomplished lapidary artist something new. It's just a wonderful book and I only have a few left so don't wait very long. 46 pages
